The Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT Sri Lanka), established in 1999, has a longstanding partnership with University of Staffordshire, UK since its inception. With nearly a quarter century of commitment to quality higher education, the partnership was featured as a case study in the UK Quality Assurance Agency Country Report 2020. Since then, APIIT Sri Lanka has evolved significantly to become a purpose driven, value-centred organization committed to “inspire love for learning”.
Presently, with campuses in Colombo and Kandy, a student base of nearly 3,000 and an annual intake of nearly 1500 students, APIIT Sri Lanka is one of the largest providers of foreign undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Sri Lanka. APIIT Sri Lanka has produced more than 5,000 Staffordshire University graduates in the disciplines of Business, Computing and Law and has a track record of producing highly employable graduates with over 90% securing gainful employment within 3 months of graduation.
APIIT Sri Lanka partners with NCUK to deliver internationally recognized pathway programmes through which students can reach 60+ universities in 7 countries, and with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) to deliver study programmes leading to internationally recognized professional qualifications in Accountancy. APIIT Sri Lanka also has direct articulation agreements with Southern Cross University in Australia and a partnership with AIT, Thailand.
Sri Lanka’s largest education exhibition & job fair EDEX Expo 2026 will be held on the 16th,17th & 18th of January at the BMICH Colombo & on the 24th & 25th of January 2026 at the Kandy City Centre Kandy. This year 2026 EDEX expo will be the 22nd year of EDEX since its inception.
